ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-VU1X-BK Black 10.1-inch Netbook - 8.5 hours of battery life is simple to use. And 'fast and easy to type on. It 'very easy to travel with him, especially with the help of her on a plane. I purchased an optional CD-ROM and a case netbook travel. Looks good and works well. I highly recommend it.

I resisted giving 5 stars because I had upgraded from Eee PC 701, so my perspective may be skewed. The 1005 is miles ahead of them, including the size of the keyboard, the screen size, processor speed and hard drive.
Yes, it comes with Windows XP that I tried to avoid in my next purchase netbook, but you can still dual boot. Installing Ubuntu was not too hard, and now I have the flexibility to log on to Windows and Linux.

I have discussed for months before getting a netbook. Now I can not believe I waited so long!
This Eee PC is a very useful gadget for the money. It is out of the box, installed and running and connected to the Internet (via Wi-Fi) for about 5-10 minutes. I only intend to use it for navigation light, and it turns out to be good for this. The portability is wonderful. It's so nice to bring the computer to which I want to work at home. And for the trip will be AWESOME.

Seems to reviews on this netbook runs hot and cold. I got mine last week and I had no problems, even after the removal of bloatware and other software needed. I removed Works and installed Office Pro and manage relational databases end!
Upgrade 2GB of RAM is almost mandatory for this netbook particularly when streaming media files. Runs hot and the charger connector is fragile … using the AC to charge only recommended as moving around the AC plug can weaken IMO. As many have already said, the fingerprints show, but I can live with it and if I keep the lid clean, I can tell when someone was browsing around!
